WHAT IS PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT?
Cloverleaf Project Achievement is a Georgia 4-H competition where 5th & 6th graders are able to choose a project area that interests them. 4-H’ers develop their project into a visual presentation called a demonstration. CPA is January 16 at NOHS
CPA or County Project Achievement, is a 4-H contest where 4-H’ers present their demonstration to local judges. First, second and third place winners in each project advance to the district competition.
How should I dress and what should I bring?
Dress like you would for school picture day. You should bring your speech on notecards and your poster or tri-board. Bring a water bottle and snack for after school.

DPA is February 17 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center
DPA or District Project Achievement is the area contest that has Oconee 4-H’ers competing against other CPA winners from all over North Georgia. This trip is free to 4-H’ers. Parents are invited to attend but are responsible for paying for their lunch.
CPA is TOMORROW!!
What do I need to do?
- Choose a topic
- Sing up with your 4-H Club teacher at school
- Create a 4-H demonstration
PARTS OF A DEMONSTRATION
- Title: makes the audience curious
- Introduction: makes your purpose clear. Don’t forget to say name & school/county
- Body: details about your subject
- Conclusion: sums it all up
VISUAL AIDS
- Should be large enough to be seen from the back of the room, especially words on posters!
- Make sure everything on posters is spelled correctly
- Make sure to hold up or point to visuals in demonstration, use them or don’t have them at all
-PowerPoints are only allowed if you bring your own computer and projector. No internet access will be provided
PRACTICE
- Practice several times in front of a group
- Speak loud, slow and clearly
- Be careful of “umm’s”, “ahh’s” & “okay’s”
- Video a practice, if possible
- Practice using visual aids
- Use notes sparingly, if at all
- Practice smiling!
- Come to NOHS January 16. Registration is between 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the auditorium. Contest will start at 4:00. Awards will start at 5:45 p.m. in the auditorium.
- Move onto DPA at Rock Eagle if you place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
